Joey Vaughn

Training Coordinator

My wife, Pat, and I have lived in rural Attala County outside of Kosciusko, Mississippi, for the past twenty-two years. Pat is a programmer/analyst for Holmes Community College. We have two sons, Riley, a welder, and Mack, a student attending Mississippi State University.

I have worked off and on in the water industry since 1980. I served as Water and Gas Superintendent for the Town of Weir for two years. I began working for Conehoma Water Association, a 1,000 customer system in Attala County, as a meter reader in 1989. After several years with Conehoma I took over the position of certified operator which I held throughout the 1990s. In addition to my operator duties, I also did all the billing for Conehoma. I began working for Mississippi Rural Water Association as the Central Circuit Rider in 2001.

I left MsRWA in 2007 to take the position of certified operator for Simpson Water Association in Choctaw County. After a year with Simpson, I returned to MsRWA in September 2008 where I currently serve as the state training coordinator.
