The Mississippi Rural Water Association (the “MSRWA”), in connection with their financial advisor Kidwell & Company Inc., are proud to represent and serve as administrators to the Interim Loan Program (the “Program”). The Program provides financing for a variety of projects with flexible loan terms. Apply Here

The Program:

  • Program loans for new construction, equipment, and refinancing
  • Low tax-exempt and taxable rates of interest
  • Loans from $100,000 to $100,000,000
  • Interim and long-term finance structures – 1-30 years depending upon project
  • Fixed and variable rate structures
  • No cross liability for individual borrowers
  • No minimum customer base required
  • Capitalized interest funded as per USDA RD approved amounts
  • Debt coverage requirement of 1.20x – similar to USDA Rural Development
  • Debt service reserve maintained at Program level (i.e. revenue and special obligation financings)
  • Security – Loans/bonds secured by revenues of system, GO, and Special Obligation pledges
  • Tax-exempt bonds may be used in connection with other funding sources
  • Principal and interest paid annually, or semi-annually, or monthly
  • LESS TIME – LESS HEADACHE – LOWER COSTS – LOWER INTEREST RATES – CUSTOMER SAVINGS!!!

It is easy to apply:

  1. complete the online application form and
  2. send your last five years of audited financial statements and current annual operating budget to MSRWA. Additional applications and information relating to the Program may be obtained from MSRWA or our Financial Advisor, Kidwell & Company, Inc. Tax-exempt and taxable rates of interest are available for member loans. The rates associated with loans are market-driven and may be locked at the time of loan commitment.
